Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity distinguishes great companies. Diversity of thought and approach to daily challenges at work boosts creativity and innovation. Lack of diversity and inclusion weakens discussions and narrows the span of imaginable solutions.

Why Diversity and Inclusion is important...

Diversity and inclusion are often paired but represent different aspects: diversity is about numbers, while inclusion is about behaviors. True inclusion starts with diversity but is defined by behaviors and relationships. By understanding how formal and informal structures affect employees, organizations can better support and empower them to enhance performance.

...and the benefits of working with Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion empower organizations to expand their business and strenghten market relevance. An inclusive culture creates equal opportunities for all, enabling cognitive brilliance to flourish across the organization - as a true competitive differentiator.

  • Enhanced performance and innovation.
  • Diverse and inclusive organizations are 36% more likely to outperform financial results.
  • Generate a greater volume and precision of knowledge-sharing, enhancing collaboration and decision-making.
Organizational culture is the words and actions

True diversity and inclusion go beyond targets; they require authentic connection, uncovering biases, and reshaping power dynamics. Real change happens not through quotas but by fostering practices that make everyone feel valued

Our approach

Diversity and Inclusion change work consulted by Influence People leverages this piece of insight as an entry point when working with organizations and leaders to create sustainable indiviudal and organizational performance.

Mapping out social phenomena through People Analytics is a key first step to identify potential power asymmetries in organizational culture and structure, making it easier for some and more difficult for other to perform. Diversity and Inclusion is for us an imminent dimension of any HR Strategy and Transformation because it is inherently linked to how people relate to one another, between colleagues and with clients, and how business is evolved.

Diversity and inclusion are about ensuring all voices are heard and valued

At Influence People, we’ve engaged with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a series called Her and His Story, creating space for varied perspectives to be heard and fully utilized. Promoting diversity requires collaboration and an active commitment to respecting and integrating different perspectives. We know that diversity and inclusion are hallmarks of successful organizations, where diverse ways of thinking and tackling daily challenges provide broader viewpoints, enhancing creativity and innovation. In contrast, a lack of diversity weakens discussions and limits the range of possible solutions. Part of our mission is to raise awareness of the many perspectives that shape our shared reality, fostering a workplace where everyone can contribute and thrive.

In Her- and HisStory, participants reflect on the key learnings and success factors that have shaped their careers and workplace experiences.

HerStory

Part of our diversity and inclusion work is to raise awareness for different perspectives of the same reality we all live in.

Because of International Womens's Day we wanted to shed light on women's perspective on work life and work places. Here we share HerStory by six women from different industries and roles. Stories from women on what has constituted success factors and challenges in their lives.

International Women's Day and International Men's Day is days that reminds us that every human voice has the right to be heard and spoken.

How do men in leading positions perceive the impact of diverse perspectives in boosting creativity and innovation, and how do they view the limitations that arise from a lack of diversity and inclusion? What insights and learnings do they have to share regarding equality and diversity in the workplace.

Here we share HisStory and shed light on four men from different industries and roles who share their perspective on work life and their insights and reflections on equality, diversity and inclusion.
