A Nordic energy company is undergoing a major transformation with the ambition to become climate neutral by 2035.
To meet increased demands on leadership capability and execution power, comprehensive development material was created for managers, leaders, and employees.
The work built on earlier collaborations, including the development of a leadership profile, leadership vision, and overarching framework, as well as insights from a pilot of the foundational leadership program.

What we did
The organization needed to strengthen leaders’ ability to drive change aligned with the overall transformation agenda. At the same time, both managers and employees needed to enhance their self-leadership, motivation, and ability to sustain performance over time. An additional priority was strengthening leaders’ capability to develop teams and individuals, while improving collaboration across the organization.
In close collaboration with the internal L&D team, we developed a coherent learning offering consisting of:
-
An updated foundational leadership program
-
Three leadership learning journeys:
-
Leading in Change
-
Self-Leadership, Motivation and Sustainable Performance
-
Developing Teams and Individuals
-
- A dedicated employee learning journey focused on self-leadership and collaboration, grounded in collective intelligence
All learning journeys were designed as experiential and research-based programs, with strong emphasis on practical application and long-term behavioral change.
Results
The programs received very strong feedback, with an average evaluation score of 4.7 out of 5.
Interest in upcoming learning journeys has been high, indicating strong perceived relevance across the organization. Follow-ups show increased clarity and alignment around leadership expectations and behaviors, as well as strengthened confidence among both leaders and employees in contributing actively to the ongoing transformation.
Outcome
The organization has reinforced its leadership and collaboration capabilities, strengthening execution capacity during a period of significant strategic change.
The development initiatives provide a structured foundation for long-term cultural alignment in support of the 2035 climate ambition.
