Elvira

Elvira, tell us briefly about yourself, your time at Influence People and the kind of work you have been involved in so far.

I have been working as a Management Consultant at Influence People since 2023. I studied Business Administration and IT Management at Linköping University and started my consulting career after graduating in 2021. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking on various projects at home, and being out in nature. During the winter, you can often find me on the ski slopes.

What attracted me to Influence People was the warm culture and the opportunity to contribute to successful change and transformation initiatives by focusing on the people behind them. Most of my work has been within change management and PMO roles in transformation programs across industries such as logistics, defense, and transportation. Alongside my client assignments, I have also been involved in several internal initiatives within both Influence People and Newground. One example is my current role as Program Manager for Bloom, our graduate program at Newgroud, which I truly enjoy.

Could you tell us about your role in Bloom, how you became involved and why you wanted to take it on?

Together with my great colleague Erik Bahere from Avanti, one of our sister companies, I co-lead the Bloom cohort that started in the autumn of 2025. In this role, we are responsible for running and developing the program, supporting our participants throughout their journey, and collaborating with colleagues from across Newground.

I really enjoy supporting people to grow and develop, so the opportunity to follow our colleagues during their first years in the industry felt highly inspiring. I also see Bloom as one of the most important development initiatives within Newground. I also see Bloom as one of the most important development initiatives within Newground. We share the ambition of offering the best graduate program for management consultants on the market, and it is motivating to be part of shaping that journey.

What I find most rewarding is seeing the participants’ development over time. It is inspiring to watch them grow, both professionally and personally, through the different experiences and opportunities the program provides.

What makes Bloom a valuable program to be part of, and what is the overall goal of the program?

Bloom’s overall purpose is to give participants the best possible start to a career in management consulting, regardless of which Newground company they belong to.

The program begins with two intensive onboarding weeks that are both challenging and inspiring. During this time, our new colleagues get to know one another, build relationships, develop fundamental consulting skills, and create lasting memories together. For many participants, these two weeks are one of the highlights of the entire program.

After that, participants gain hands-on experience through client assignments while continuing to develop through training sessions, conferences, social activities, internal initiatives, and regular reflection together with the rest of the Bloom group.

Throughout the two years, we focus on three key areas: Delivery, Business Development, and Leadership. At the same time, Bloom is a safe place to learn, challenge yourself, and grow together with other graduates from across Newground Alliance.

What have you learned from leading or being involved in Bloom? And how has that learning influenced the way you work as a consultant?

Following the participants’ development during their first year has taught me a great deal about leadership. The role has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader and collaborate with amazing colleagues from across Newground. Developing together across company boundaries has been both rewarding and inspiring, and it has made me reflect on the kind of leader I want to be.

Leading the Bloom team and supporting participants throughout the program has been incredibly valuable for my own development. These experiences have had a direct impact on my consulting work, where I often support leaders and organizations through periods of change and transformation.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering applying to Bloom, what would it be?

What I truly appreciate about our graduate program is that you do not have to choose between being part of a smaller specialist consulting firm and belonging to something larger. You get the best of both worlds.

Through Bloom, you build a network with graduates from across Newground and learn from colleagues with different backgrounds and experiences. The combination of hands-on client work, continuous learning, and a strong sense of community is what makes Bloom an outstanding place to start a career in management consulting.
